Join us on Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, for Regenerative Medicine Expo, a free, one-day workshop that will bring together motivated students in Grades 10 to 12 to learn about regenerative medicine and explore leading-edge research in the field at the University of Toronto (U of T) and its affiliated hospitals.
The expo, co-hosted by the University of Toronto’s Medicine by Design initiative and University of Toronto Schools, is a crash course in stem cells and regenerative medicine, offered by leading U of T scientists, engineers and doctors. We will also explore how novel regenerative medicine discoveries become new treatments for a range of diseases, and discuss the importance of scientific literacy in a media-filled world. The event will offer opportunities to explore career paths, meet graduate student researchers, and interact with scientists, clinicians and biotechnology experts. A dynamic, experiential learning event for students, Regenerative Medicine Expo will also provide a rich professional learning opportunity for teachers, with content aligning with the Academic, Applied, College, and University Preparation streams of the Ontario science curriculum.
